Membership Vision Management System Features

Membership Vision addresses several issues churches tend to have with their websites: how current information is, how engaging the content is, how to find time to both update the website and write the newsletter, how to remember how to do those things that rarely need editing, and how to integrate audio and video for a richer user experience. This is an introduction to how Membership Vision helps.
Integrating Social Media in New Ways
When you post on social media, your work won't just disappear into the ether. Membership Vision integrates your social media in meaningful ways throughout the site. Assign #hashtags to ministries, share posts from church members, and respond quickly to events in the world without worrying about composing a blog post or updating page content.
Now, updating your church's website is as quick and easy as posting something to your wall. MV checks your social media accounts every 15 minutes for new content, and you can even opt to add additional Facebook accounts to your update queue -- say, your Diocese or your Bishop's Facebook feed -- so that new content can be feeding your site even when you're not creating any yourself.
Creating Volunteer Opportunities: Users with Special Permissions
You may have a volunteer who is ready to record your sermons for you, and you want that person to have access to add sermons to your website but not to be able to add blog posts or edit pages. Creating users with limited, special permissions is easy -- and it enables you to allow others to take an active role in your communications.
Checking Your Calendar -- Minute by Minute
Membership Vision updates your site multiple times per hour, removing items which have already happened and showing visitors what's now and what's next. Also, your calendar information is used to create rich content for your site, as in the pictured example.
You can also use your calendar connection to feed your newsletter. Add a range of dates or add single events -- but know you don't need to copy and paste and format the same text again and again. In Membership Vision, it's all integrated
Scheduling Posts, Featured Slides, Forms, Newsletters and More
Membership Vision allows you to schedule many events on your website so that you don't have to worry with technology at the very moment you should be greeting and being with the people in your midst. Allow the website to take care of itself, and be free to perform YOUR mission.
Making Podcasting Easy and Integrated
Posting audio and video to your site is seamless and simple. By simply dragging files into a window, you are able to update audio (and video) on your site, with video files automatically being sent to your YouTube channel as well as feeding your video podcast and audio files automatically feeding your audio podcast as well as the site. Check out Grace Church in Sterling, IL to read about a small church that, upon launch of its MV site, went from having an old, defunct website to having a constantly-updating site with an audio podcast and a rich online experience.

Populating Your Newsletter, and Creating a New Approach
We have a different approach to communicating via newsletter. We've noticed that traditionally, many churches will create an email newsletter each week, but that the same church can go months without updating their website. So Membership Vision encourages you to update your website and then to create your newsletter from those website posts.
If needed, you are still free to add content directly into the newsletter, but the MV system -- which integrates with Mailchimp to send your newsletters -- can populate your newsletter with content in seconds as you will merely need to select content you've already written and shared with the world.
We now have tools that encourage us to do a better job of communicating outside of our walls rather than having such a high percentage of our communications efforts focused exclusively on existing members. The newsletter, rather than being just a way of reinforcing “insider” information is now a means to share our story with a new audience - we post every article to the site first and then use those posts to build the internal newsletter. Also, we're doing things we hadn't done before -- podcasting, for example. We're using our social media posts to tell our stories and to offer a glimpse into our community, and when we do, these posts automatically update the website, extending our digital reach even further.
